MS4 Program - Strategies for Success
Course Description
As a follow-up to the February class, this class goes deeper into the MS4 permit requirements and focuses on key areas of program development. Primary topics include Illicit Discharge detection and track down programs, Best Management Practices for Municipal Facilities and Developing Municipal Facilities and Operations Programs. The use of GIS mapping tools is highlighted throughout as well as discussions for developing Staffing and Enforcement Response Plans. Andy Sansone, Monroe County Stormwater Coordinator, and Christiana Chaippeta, from NYSDEC, are the lead presenters.

John Dunkle, PE, CPESC, CMS4S
John is a graduate of SUNY ESF and Syracuse University, and has been practicing civil engineering since 1981. Working with both private developers and municipalities on site planning and development projects, John has prepared and reviewed SWPPP’s, provided guidance for MS4’s, participated with DEC in the development of the current Stormwater regulations, and conducted stormwater trainings for contractors, developers, engineers, and municipal officials.
